SilencerCo's newly announced titanium pistol suppressor breaks the mold. The SilencerCo S98 is designed for use on 9mm handguns and features an eccentric design similar to the Osprey series. This means a much better sight picture without the silencer obscuring the handgun's irons or optics. Like the Osprey 2.0, it's indexed by a button on the bottom of the silencer, allowing for perfect alignment without hassle. It's fully welded, allowing maximum internal volume and a smaller external footprint. Titanium is light, keeping the S98 at only 7 ounces. Not only does a light pistol silencer feel better, but it also enhances reliability on semi-auto pistols. The less work the gun has to do to compensate for the silencer, the more naturally it will shoot.
Oh yeah, it's also quick disconnect. When it comes to mounting solutions, the S98 is a bit different. SilencerCo has integrated a quick disconnect solution, allowing for rapid attachment should the need arise. It can be mounted quickly and indexed in fractions of a second. This addition is a valuable option for law enforcement utilization as well as home defense situations.
The S98 is rated for 9mm handguns only. It ships with a 1/2x28 QD mount and does not use standard (AC22) SilencerCo pistons.
