The Rugged SurgeX is a modular, ultra-durable silencer that can handle any abuse you throw at it. It's at home equally on a hunting rifle, SBR, or belt-fed machine gun. The SurgeX ships in the impressively quiet full-size configuration with some of the best raw sound mitigation in the industry. The ADAPT module can be removed quickly and easily for those needing a shorter solution with a bit less backpressure. This reduces the length of the SurgeX from 8.1" down to 5.6."
Shooters no longer need to choose between a full-size or compact silencer for their rifles. The SurgeX provides the best of both worlds. While it is significantly lighter than its predecessor at 16.2 ounces in the full-size setup, it still maintains its belt-fed rating. Many users will find the full-size configuration ideal on a bolt-action rifle and the shorter compact 5.6" used on semi-auto and select-fire weapons. The SurgeX is still compatible with the full array of Rugged's muzzle devices and utilizes the same front caps as their other popular rifle silencers.
Unlike many of their other offerings, the SurgeX uses 1.375x24 threads in the rear portion for attaching mounting solutions. This thread pitch, also known as Omega/Bravo/HUB, has become an industry standard over the last few years. This allows the Rugged SurgeX to utilize the included QD RUM mount and direct thread solutions from Rugged for minimal size and weight added. If you love the suppressor but are heavily invested in other mounts, the SurgeX can accommodate nearly a dozen industry-leading mounting options.
