FULL-SIZE AND COMPACT FEATURES IN ONE SILENCER

The Rugged Obsidian 9 is a tough, modular suppressor for 9mm pistols and pistol-caliber carbines. Thanks to its ADAPT design, it can run in either a full-length 7.8" configuration for maximum suppression or a compact 4.85" setup when size and weight matter most. The baffles are machined from 17-4 stainless steel, while the tube is hard coat anodized aluminum, all finished in high-temperature Cerakote to handle the heat and abuse of regular use. At 1.37" in diameter, it clears most suppressor-height pistol sights with ease.

It ships with a 1/2×28 piston and uses a solid, non-slotted piston design that improves the gas seal and cuts down on blowback. The baffle system uses a keyed design that ensures proper alignment and minimizes carbon lockup between the internals and the tube. Rugged placed the engraving on the thickest part of the mount, so the serialized section is protected and easier to service or upgrade. The Obsidian 9 is also fully compatible with Obsidian 45 parts, including mounts, pistons, and 3-lug adapters.

This suppressor is full-auto rated, making it a solid choice for hard use. It's also rated for subsonic 300 Blackout and 9×39 on barrels 8” or longer, and 350 Legend with a 16”+ barrel. Each unit comes with the suppressor, both length modules, a 1/2×28 piston, a 9mm front cap, a manual, and a Rugged logo sticker. CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION 

Rugged's latest suppressor entry, the Obsidian 9, does not disappoint. It offers fantastic suppression in the long configuration and is one of the shortest options in the "K" configuration. Like its bigger brother, the Obsidian 45 is user-serviceable, allowing you to shoot 22LR or non-jacketed rounds through it. If you clean it, the click-together baffle system prevents carbon build-up between the tube and the baffle stack, easing the cleaning process. The Obsidian 9 maintains Rugged's "Belt Fed Rating" for 9mm and 300 BLK subsonic rounds and does this while weighing as little as 8.7 oz. Like the Obsidian 45, the Obsidian 9 utilizes most SilencerCo pistol suppressor accessories for compatibility.
