When clients are looking to suppress AK-47 or AK-74-style rifles, there is always a fear of unconcentric threads. With a variety of unusual thread pitches available on them, a thread adapter not only adds additional expense but can often compound the problem, leading to baffle strikes. In addition to the fear of baffle strikes from a questionably threaded barrel, the AK is traditionally loud to the shooter and requires a suppressor with extremely low back pressure to function correctly.
